Ramirez was in a groove all day. He slapped a single which plated a run in the 1st inning, lofted a three-run 'big-fly' in the 4th inning and smashed a solo-shot out of the park (his 16th of the season) in the 6th inning. Dominican managed 14 in their victory. The win was credited to Bonderman(5-8) who went the whole way allowing 3 runs. C.C. Sabathia(4-5) was charged with the loss. He was unable to retire a batter giving up 3 hits and 2 walks. Ralph Madara was asked about the performance of Bonderman, 'He had his good stuff out there this afternoon. The fans really get into it when the strikeouts start mounting up - and that seems to give him even more adrenalin.'
